There’s a new rhythm pulsing through the heart of Richards Bay, and it’s coming from the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront. Renowned local talent and powerhouse creative, DJ Amenisto, has stepped into a bold new role as the owner of Neighbourhood Shisanyama, one of the city’s most iconic lifestyle venues. And he’s kicking things off with the launch of his very first event under this banner: BARDU.
BARDU isn’t just a party, it’s a statement. A deep and Afro house dance experience designed to connect, uplift, and electrify. The event debuts on Friday, 31 May, and will serve as DJ Amenisto’s official introduction as the new creative force behind Neighbourhood
“This is more than just a change in ownership,” he tells Vibe Online. “It’s a transformation of space, energy, and sound. With BARDU, I’m bringing the kind of music experience I’ve always dreamed of, rooted in Afro rhythm, culture, and connection.”
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Tuzi Gazi marina, BARDU is a day-into-night celebration running from 12 PM to 2 AM. The event features a curated lineup of deep house and Afro house DJs, handpicked to deliver a soundscape that’s soulful, energetic, and unrelentingly fresh.
