How We Got Here- Founders Laid Bare Podcast, set to tell unfiltered entrepreneurial journeys to success.

The evening marked the beginning of great and empowering stories of How We Got Here. The podcast has officially launched, bringing fresh inspiration and ground-breaking insights to the community.

Hosted by Nondumiso Majola, founder of The Empowered Tribe this monthly podcast series promises to deliver unfiltered stories from founders and entrepreneurs who have paved their own paths to success in various fields.

Speaking about why she started the podcast Nondumiso said “My mission has always been about telling real and unfiltered stories of entrepreneurship, from what it takes to be one and how they got where they are now because there’s always a story behind, it didn’t just happen overnight”.

The inaugural episode featured Zama McLaw, a prominent name within the entertainment space across Zululand, she is the driving force behind McLaw Promotions, McLaw Travel, events MC and eMpangeni Shopping Centres’ Marketing Manager. With her bubbly personality and narrative, Zama shared her remarkable journey as a young black female entrepreneur making her mark in a men’s world, highlighting the challenges she overcame and the lessons she learned along the way.

Recorded live with an engaged audience, the podcast provided a unique platform for Zama to share she journey, offer valuable advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, her peers and the public at large. She shared her story of how the marketing bug bit her when she wasn’t even looking and how she never looked back. Her story served as a testament to the power of determination, passion and resilience in the face of adversity.

“I grew up as a happy child, too bubbly and forward then the rest of my peers, my life has always been the centre stage even in primary where everything started. When I was 8 years old I was diagnosed with ADD, which put an answer to why I was different and behaving the way I did. But growing up in a typical Zulu family my parents didn’t understand what that was, years later the bubbly personality started paying off when I finally found my niche” says Zama.

The “How We Got Here” podcast is set to become a staple in the eMpangeni and Richards Bay area, offering a refreshing perspective on entrepreneurship and leadership. By sharing the personal stories and experiences of successful founders, the podcast aims to motivate and empower listeners to pursue their own entrepreneurial dreams, learn from others and avoid making the same mistakes.

“The podcast promises to deliver real stories that resonates with audiences from all walks of life. People can look forward to hearing from more local inspiring entrepreneurs and founders who will share their unique journeys and insights. Keep a look at our socials to stay up-to-date on who we hosting next and where to watch the episodes” elaborates Nondumiso.
