Passionate about community development

Ntokozo Myeni’s (36) love for sport dates back from 1994 when he was just a little boy watching the world cup that was hosted at the United States of America. He also participated in various local football teams at Ngwelezane as a player.

Ntokozo matriculated at Mhawu High School at eThekwini where he got involved in various extra mural activities which developed his charector and boosted his confident as a public speaker as he use to play a role of being a programme director /Mc during school concerts and events.

During the 2010 World Cup that was hosted in South Africa, Mr Myeni zoomed in to his talent that some of his high school teachers and friends use to encourage him to persue which is radio! In 2015 he joined one of the biggest local radio stations at King Cetshwayo District, North Coast Radio as a sport presenter. In 2018 he joined the newly formed Uthungulu Youth Radio (UYFM) as a sport anchor before moving to IMVULA FM COMMERCIAL RADIO station based at Newcastle in April 2022 until August 2023. As it stands Ntokozo have 9 years experience working as a sport journalist on radio, he hopes that his experience lands him a big gig with big radio brands like Ukhozi FM and Gagasi FM.

His love for sports led him to start an annual tournament “Ntokozo Myeni Under 15 Soccer Tournament” with the aim to unlock opportunities for the younger generation to be exposed as his tournaments are also attended by talent scouts. The 4th edition of these games are underway, this year they will take place on the 15th of June 2024.

Ntokozo still have a bucket list of things that he want to achieve in his sport career, like doing interviews with Joseph Makhanya, Josta Dladla, Fabian McCarthy to mention a few.
