One of this years’ highlight perfomances include none other than the ‘John Cena’ hit maker Sho Madjozi.
Born as Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif in 1992, she is professionally known as Sho Madjozi on our screens. Madjozi a South African rapper, singer, songwriter, actress and poet. Who strongly represent the Tshonga Culture through her music and dress code. Today she is regarded as one of the best performers in Africa.
It is no doubt that Madjozi had a productive year, as she did not only make a hit song about the WWE Superstar, but she also got the opportunity to meet him. 2019 has been a good year for this young megastar as she also made highlights when she won BET Award for Best New International Act and SAMA Female Artist Of The Year.
Madjozi rose to fame after her feature on Okmalumkoolkat’s hit single, “Gqi” After her return to South Africa from the US. She later released her debut single, titled “Dumi HiPhone” in 2017 followed by the hit “Huku” from her debut album.
The ‘John Cena’ GQOM-genre song trended across social media in the world as it reached two-million views on YouTube. Madjozi was praised for the song by many notable people, including rapper Missy Elliott who she retweeted her video on her Twitter page, whilst professional wrestler John Cena posted Madjozi on his Instagram account.
